High Schooler Kicks Mesmerizing 70-Yard Punt On Clearly Flawed Field
I know it’s a lot to ask you to take a minute out of your day to watch a football roll very, very slowly for about 40 yards, but this punt is truly hypnotic. It appears to come from a high school game in Chicago, with Raby kicking away to Morris Community.
An almost always mundane play somehow turned into this ridiculous, seemingly endless punt, which hits the ground before midfield yet stubbornly rolls all the way inside the opposing 10-yard line.
Explanations for this punt floated by the Deadspin staff include a slanted field, bad astroturf, and magnets. Whatever power it was, Raby probably could have used more of it. They lost, 43-8.
