source: [object Object] By far the funniest thing about Fangraphs contributor Mike Werner’s reaction to video of Billy Hamilton’s insane catch Friday night is the possibility that Werner previously doubted the existence of spider monkeys, and understood this video of Billy Hamilton to be persuasive evidence of their existence.
Here is a video of by-God spider monkeys, which are totally real:
If, prior to watching this video, you thought spider monkeys were an urban legend, now would be a good time to exclaim “apparently spider monkeys are a real thing everyone!” Billy Hamilton’s heroics are no more evidence of their existence than Mike Trout highlights are evidence of the existence of delicious mackinaw. Probably it would be a good idea if we all stopped comparing athletes to wild animals!
