Hornets Coach Steve Clifford To Return To Team After Spending Month Away For Health
Photo Credit: Streeter Lecka/ [object Object] Charlotte Hornets head coach Steve Clifford will return to the team next week after spending more than a month away with a health issue.
The Hornets have not publicly commented on Clifford’s health, but the Charlotte Observer reports that he has been suffering from severe headaches since before the start of the season. He was cleared today to begin attending practice on Tuesday, and his first game back on the bench will be Wednesday at home against the Wizards.
Associate head coach Stephen Silas has taken over Clifford’s role during his absence, coaching the Hornets to a 7-11 record since December 6.
