How Will We Remember Ichiro?

Last night, Ichiro Suzuki recorded his 4,000th hit as a professional baseball player. The achievement will lead to plenty of people taking stock of Ichiro's legacy as a player, and the fact that only 2,722 of his hits were recorded in the American major leagues will continue to fuel stupid debates about just how sparkly that legacy is. We'll avoid all of that, though, and instead point you to what we wrote about Ichiro back in July of 2011, when the man with the wonderful swing was mired in the worst season of his career.
