I Hope To Be Like This Surfer And Survive Life's Batterings
In the grand metaphor of life, where the ocean is the world and we are the surfer getting battered against some rocks, it’s comforting to know that there are people like Australian Ross Clarke-Jones.
In his decades of surfing, he has broken lots of things on his body. His face looks like that of a grizzly bear if you took the fur off down to the follicles. And when stuck between the senseless smashing of the ocean waves against absurdly sharp collections of rocks, he puts his intuition to use in a way that is amazing and... full of hope.
If Clarke-Jones can hide from the waves behind a rock, maybe we, too, can fight our way through this grand metaphor with only a broken leg and a one-liner to show for it.
