"I'd Rather Drink Methamphetamine," And Other Complaints About Soccer Being On ESPN

City's thrilling 1-0 win over Man United in today's Manchester Derby drew acclaim as a groundbreaking moment in broadcasting; the first-ever Premier League weekday game to air on ESPN (as opposed to ESPN2) earned on-air hype and plenty of attention on the Worldwide Leader's website.
Perhaps the biggest testament to the gravity of the game and the broadcast was the full 30-minute pregame show ESPN produced featuring former players, archival footage, and analysis that was intelligent but not over the heads of viewers new to the sport. (None of Fox's "This is the difference between football and futbol" nonsense, in other words.)
The broadcast event, however, was not entirely popular with ESPN's audience. Here's a sampling of complaints by viewers who were perturbed by what they saw on their TVs.
