Idaho Vandals Prefer Their Asses Logo Free
One week after debuting their new uniforms, the Idaho Vandals football team is changing their pants. It seems the logo, which was placed in an unfortunate position on the uniform, was a little embarassing. Athletic Director Rob Spear has ordered the logos removed.
Idaho wore the pants — which featured a prominent "I" with "Vandals" in script across the butt — during its 70-0 season-opening loss to Arizona. The pants got much of the attention, much of it mocking the Vandals. "I was disappointed with the look and the appearance. We didn't realize how noticeable it would be until it was on our players," Spear said Thursday.
According to Nike, the school signed off on the logo placement. I guess having a logo on your bunghole while losing 70-0 didn't sit well with the team. At least their logo isn't a bullseye.
