In Canada, Beware Of Flying Footballs To The Face During Footwork Drills
Taylor Renaud, a former wide receiver for Nova Scotia's Acadia University, is here to teach us this valuable lesson. Renaud was working out with his roommate, Mike Benson, the long-snapper for the CFL's Edmonton Eskimos and another former Acadia player. Benson was supposed to throw the ball to Renaud after Renaud made it through the footwork course a second time. Benson did not know that; he instead sent the ball hurtling toward Renaud's face after the first go-round. Renaud is hoping to land a free-agent deal with a team in the CFL. This likely will not be part of his highlight reel.
Also? A number of Canadian websites have been posting the video since last night, which brought this reaction from Benson:
Touchdown, eh!
