In Fiery Press Conference, Bomb Suspects' Uncle Calls Them "Losers"
Ruslan Tsarni, the uncle of marathon bombing suspects Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, gave an impromptu press conference outside his Maryland home today. He was pissed.
He called his nephews "losers," and said he hasn't seen them since 2009. (He would later say he spoke with them three months ago.) Tsarni said he "loves this country," and is "ashamed" of the bombers on behalf of his family and of all Chechens.
He learned about his nephews connections to the bombings this morning, when he was contacted by reporters. He went online, and saw pictures of Dzhokhar "on AOL." Asked what he would say to Dzhokhar, he replied:
"If you are alive, turn yourself in. And ask for forgiveness from the victims, from the injured...ask forgiveness from these people."
