Insane Person Garrett McNamara May Have Ridden A 100-Foot Wave
Garrett McNamara is a big wave surfer based out of Hawaii who just last year was confirmed as having ridden the biggest wave in history. This year, he returned to the same spot, Nazaré, Portugal and took it up a notch. Maybe. I don't know, there does not appear to be a whole lot of science in measuring the height of waves.
McNamara's 2011 wave was initially described as 90 feet and then a year later it was confirmed as a world record at 78 feet by Guinness. So, it's possible it's not 100 feet, but everyone seems convinced it is at least a new world record. So come on, get it together, Guinness Book of World Records, we need to know exactly how many feet this crazy guy surfed.
In the meantime, enjoy the eye candy.
