Internal Email, Texts Reveal NDSU President Endorsed Banning Media Outlets
When NDSU president Dean Bresciani rescinded a ban on news organizations covering the Bison unless they paid for media rights last week, he condemned the policy—stating that he was “ profoundly disappointed” in it. Internal emails and texts acquired by SayAnythingBlog.com’s Rob Port reveal that Bresciani was full of shit, and fully endorsed the policy before the backlash became too great.
In a series of texts published by the blog, Bresciani communicates with Bison athletic director Matt Larsen about the policy and the subsequent reaction. He clearly supports it, before deciding to frame himself as the hero who fought with the athletic department to remove the restrictions:
The NDSU president also reveals himself to be one of those sociopaths who signs his texts.
SayAnythingBlog later produced an email that more explicitly shows he supports and agrees with the decision:
The amount of pomposity in that email is really breathtaking, isn’t it? That its writer would later bullshit his way through the scandal isn’t surprising at all; that a higher education administrator behaves in this manner, period, is no shock to any of us who spent significant time working in that industry.
