Introducing The Consumerist
This image was lost some time after publication. We are most proud to introduce you to Gawker Media's newest assault on your synapses: The Consumerist, the 14th Gawker Media site (we used to be the 14th site around here, but then Oddjack went away, and now we're unlucky No. 13. Great). The Consumerist, helmed by the mucho-capable Joel Johnson, will, in the words of its editor, "guide you through the delinquencies of retail and service organizations. The Consumerist will highlight the persistent, shameless boners of modern consumerism and the latest hot deals, discounts, and freebies around."
They're off to a good start so far. One of their first posts involves going after the bane of all that is hellish: Goddamn banks. We swear to God, one time, we're absolutely certain that the guy behind the desk was rejecting our loan application simply because we were wearing a Busch Stadium tie.
We're already big fans. Check it out. The Consumerist will dig up all ugly corporate synergy techniques and display it for all the world to see. Like, for example, this post.
Enjoy!
