Is This A Dick Or What?

This evening, reader Grant was looking for running shoes on Zappos when he stumbled upon what appeared to be a dong on the sole of some Nikes. He sent us a tip, and he sparked a brief debate in the Deadspin newsroom. Friends, this appears to be a dick. Let’s assess.

According to the product description, the shoe’s “tri-star outsole pattern boosts flexibility,” so this schlong has a function. Initially, there was some confusion over whether or not this dong pattern was an overhead view of a one-balled peen, but to me, what we have here is an open-and-shut side view of a dick and balls. This reviewer’s experience of getting giggled at for flashing the design seems like a final nail in the not-a-dong coffin.
