It Sure Looks Like Adrian Gonzalez Will Be Hitting Cleanup For The Dodgers Today [UPDATE]
There's still no official word from the teams, but the Dodgers sure seem to think that Adrian Gonzalez will be moving to Los Angeles. He's batting cleanup and playing first base according to the lineup posted by Enrique Rojas of ESPN Deportes. Buster Olney also tweeted that Gonzalez would be in the lineup.
Mike Silverman is also reporting that Clay Buchholz has already moved into Josh Beckett's locker and Bobby Valentine admitted that locker room changes were necessary.
Update 5:30 p.m.: OK, it is officially official. The Dodgers announced the acquisition via press release. The terms and players are pretty much in line with what has been previously reported except Rubby De La Rosa and Jerry Sands are not mentioned in the release as part of the Red Sox haul. Rather, the release notes that the Red Sox will receive "first baseman James Loney, pitcher Allen Webster, infielder Ivan De Jesus and two players to be named later."
