J.J. Watt Helped Off Field After Suffering Leg Injury [Updates]
J.J. Watt tripped over himself early in tonight’s Chiefs-Texans game, leading the defensive end and hero fundraiser to collapse on-field, be helped off it, and eventually be carted to the locker room.
Watt, whose back issues cost him most of last season, appeared to twist a knee midway through the first quarter of tonight’s game. If the Texans release information on Watt’s condition tonight, we’ll update.
Update (9:39 p.m.): Watt has been declared out for the game and is on his way to a local hospital.
Update (10:35 p.m.): NBC reports Watt has been diagnosed with a fracture of the tibial plateau, or in plain English, he broke the top of his front lower leg bone.
