Mandatory Credit: Nathan Ray Seebeck-Imagn Images Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. provided a short answer about his availability for Sunday's game against the visiting Houston Texans.
"I'm good," Thomas told reporters on Friday.
His availability was in question after he followed up a full practice session on Wednesday with limited participation on Thursday due to a wrist injury.
"I definitely think he had a better week (of practice) in terms of the way we were trying to connect," Jaguars coach Liam Coen said Friday. "Excited about his (opportunity) this weekend."
Coen acknowledged Thomas' injury on Monday, one day after the wideout received online criticism for a few drops and a perceived lack of effort in Jacksonville's 31-27 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals last Sunday.
Thomas, 22, has just five catches for 60 yards on 19 targets with zero receiving touchdowns in two games this season for the Jaguars (1-1). He does have a rushing score, however.
Thomas was the 23rd overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft out of LSU. He finished fourth in Offensive Rookie of the Year voting last season after amassing 87 catches for 1,282 yards and 10 touchdowns.
