Jamie Farr And Minor League Baseball: The Perfect Mix

Longtime readers know of our fascination with minor league baseball promotions, and here's one of our favorites: The Altoona Curve are hosting a Retro Celebrity Series, in which TV stars from the distant haunt the aisles of the Blair County Ballpark.

So far this year, they've hosted "Night Court"'s Richard Moll, "C.H.I.P.S."'s Erik Estrada and "Batman"'s Adam West. Tomorrow night, though, is the real treat: It's Jamie Farr! If you're in the Altoona area, and you don't go, well, then we just don't know who you are anymore.

Oh, and Sherman Hemsley, Jerry Mathers and Horshack will be there later this year. There are other former celebrities coming to, but their careers have vanished to the point that not even a post like this one will get them a mention.
