Jaylen Brown climbs Celtics scoring chart in big win vs. Warriors

Mandatory Credit: David Butler II-Imagn Images Jaylen Brown collected 32 points, six rebounds and five assists to help the Boston Celtics defeat the visiting Golden State Warriors 120-99 Wednesday night.
Brown passed Jo Jo White and Dave Cowens to move into 10th place in the franchise's all-time scoring list.
Jayson Tatum added 24 points and 10 rebounds for the Celtics, who extended their winning streak to three games. Tatum made 5 of 11 3-point attempts. Boston also received a 19-point performance from Payton Pritchard.
Pat Spencer and Gary Payton II each came off the bench to score a team-high 14 points for Golden State. Draymond Green and Gui Santos each had 13 points and five rebounds.
The Warriors have lost six of their last seven, and eight of their last 10.
Kristaps Porzingis scored 11 points in the loss. Porzingis played against Boston in his debut with Golden State on Feb. 19, but Wednesday's game was the first time he's played in Boston since the Celtics traded him to Atlanta following the 2025 season. He helped Boston win the 2024 NBA championship.
Steph Curry missed his 19th straight game with a knee injury. The Warriors are 6-13 in those 19 games.
Boston had its first double-digit lead after a Brown basket made it 25-14 with 4:42 remaining in the opening quarter. The Celtics stretched their advantage to 34-21 on a Brown jumper, and had a 36-23 lead after one quarter. Brown scored 19 points in the quarter.
Brown moved into the 10th spot on Boston's all-time scoring list when he made two free throws to put the Celtics up 52-34 with 4:41 left in the second quarter. Boston had its largest lead of the half, 54-34, after a Luka Garza basket, and led 63-50 at halftime.
Golden State was within seven points early in the third, but trailed 89-73 after three quarters.
Boston had a 114-88 lead -- its largest lead of the game -- after a Pritchard layup capped an 8-0 run with 3:40 to play.
