Jeff Fisher Is Putting Together A Terrible Coaching Staff In St. Louis
Jeff Fisher, he of that popped collar and tied sweater, has the Rams' reins and he's not relinquishing them. In fact, he's already gotten started on doing some fantastically stupid things:
Brian Schottenheimer has been offered the St. Louis Rams' offensive coordinator job and will accept the position on new coach Jeff Fisher's staff, a league source said Sunday night. All that's left to make it official is for the contract to be completed, according to the source.
This isn't a huge surprise, but ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that New Orleans defensive coordinator Gregg Williams is expected to leave the Saints and join Jeff Fisher in St. Louis.
Per Football Outsiders, New Orleans's defense ranked 28th in the league and the Jets' offense ranked 21st. Good thing St. Louis is building on a strong foundation.
