Jimbo And Candi Fisher Are Divorced
Jimbo Fisher and his wife of 22 years, Candi, are officially divorced, GossipExtra.com’s Jose Lambiet reported today. The process didn’t take long; Lambiet reported that the Florida State football coach filed for the split less than five months ago and the couple has been separated since May.
Why the split? Lambiet reported that there were rumors in Tallahassee that Candi Fisher had an affair with former Gators wide receiver Taylor Jacobs, whose name came up in the court records.
There may have been a good reason for the apparently easy resolution, a juicy one: The case was at a standstill late this summer until Jimbo’s camp filed in October his intention to depose a surprise witness.
Who?
Former University of Florida star wide receiver Taylor Jacobs, a Tallahassee native who moved back after five years in the NFL and a championship with the Gators in 2000.
Jacobs was never deposed because the case started moving fast, and it became clear the matters would be resolved amicably.
But had he been grilled by Jimbo’s lawyers, what would have Jacobs been asked about?
Lambiet wasn’t able to reach either Fisher or Jacobs for comment. The settlement agreement, Lambiet reported, is confidential.
