Jozy Altidore Stretchered Off With Apparent Hamstring Injury
The glee that followed Clint Dempsey's opening goal turned sour early in the U.S. match against Ghana as striker Jozy Altidore pulled up and was eventually taken off the pitch on a stretcher after suffering what looks like a serious hamstring injury.
That's bad news for the Yanks, given the lack of depth at forward. ESPN's commentating team of Ian Darke and Taylor Twellman seemed to think this would be the end for Altidore in Brazil; their tone might have you think doctors were taking him out back to put him down.
