Kevin Johnson: "This Is A Defining Moment In The History Of The NBA"

Former Suns guard, and current mayor of Sacramento, Kevin Johnson has taken on an expanded role with the NBPA in the wake of the Donald Sterling saga and he actually did appear on-screen for an interview with Lisa Salters this afternoon.

During the interview, he put forth the players' position regarding Donald Sterling thusly: they want to be included in Commissioner Adam Silver's decision-making process and they want the maximum punishment possible under NBA bylaws once the investigation is complete.

Johnson further stressed that the players want to weigh-in, ensure Sterling is punished to the fullest extent possible, and to be told why Sterling was not sanctioned for previous incidents.
