Kevin Love Commits Blocking Foul With His Face, Gets Tooth Knocked Loose
source: [object Object] Under two minutes into the Cleveland Cavaliers’ loss to the Miami Heat last night, Kevin Love took Heat center Jordan Mickey’s elbow to the face, which knocked his tooth loose, drew blood, and sent him to the locker room. And he got called for the blocking foul.
He tried to return to the game, but was benched for good at halftime when the team said he showed concussion-like symptoms, per an ESPN report. He will be evaluated this morning to determine if he needs to enter concussion protocol; his status for tonight’s game against the Charlotte Hornets is up in the air.
The report also said the Cavs “determined Love suffered a front tooth subluxation — meaning the tooth is loose, but not displaced,” though that tooth looks pretty displaced.
The Cavs’ 98-79 loss snapped their five-game win streak.
