Kings place F Viktor Arvidsson on long-term IR

Just four games after making his season debut, Los Angeles Kings forward Viktor Arvidsson returned to long-term injured reserve Saturday.
Arvidsson heads to the sidelines with a lower-body injury after missing the first 50 games of the season following back surgery in October.
He returned Feb. 15 in a 2-1 road win over the New Jersey Devils, but was injured again five days later in a 5-1 win over the visiting Columbus Blue Jackets.
By being placed on long-term IR, Arvidsson will be sidelined a minimum of 10 games and 24 days for the Kings.
Arvidsson, 30, totaled 59 points (26 goals, 33 assists) in 77 games last season. He notched two assists in the four games he appeared in this season.
He has 239 points (127 goals, 112 assists) in 385 career games with the Nashville Predators (2014-21) and Kings.
In a corresponding move Saturday, the Kings recalled defenseman Jordan Spence from the AHL's Ontario Reign.
Los Angeles concludes a three-game homestand Saturday night against the Anaheim Ducks.
