Kobe Bryant Ramps Up His Michael Jordan Cosplay With A New Trademark

It’s becoming pretty clear that Kobe Bryant’s pathological commitment to fashioning his image after Michael Jordan’s is going to continue into his post-playing days. To wit, Kobe has put a trademark claim on the phrase “Friends hang sometimes, banners hang forever.”

This is a phrase that Kobe has test-driven before...

... and you can’t help but see Jordan’s influence there. The greatest NBA player of all time has turned out to be a bitter, friendless loon in retirement, and so obviously Kobe is tuning his public persona to the same frequency. I can’t wait until his Extremely Bad Jeans phase begins.
