Krarken pick up F Tomas Tatar from Avalanche for draft pick

The Seattle Kraken acquired veteran forward Tomas Tatar from the Colorado Avalanche on Friday in exchange for a fifth-round draft pick in 2024.
Tatar, 33, has had seven 20-goal seasons in his career but never got untracked during his short stint in Colorado, with one goal and eight assists in 27 games. He was signed by the Avalanche in September.
Tatar has 212 goals and 464 points in 810 games over 11-plus NHL seasons with the Detroit Red Wings, Vegas Golden Knights, Montreal Canadiens, New Jersey Devils and Avalanche.
Tatar's top season for goals was 29 for the Red Wings in 2014-15. He had a career high of 61 points for the Canadiens in 2019-20.
In a corresponding move, Seattle placed forward Jaden Schwartz on long-term injured reserve. The move is retroactive to Nov. 28, when Schwartz was injured against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Schwartz, 31, had eight goals and seven assists in 23 games prior to the injury.
