Kyle Lowry Gave Some New Shoes To That Fan Who Got His Ganked
You might remember the time the most cold-blooded and badass Bulls fan in history mercilessly snatched away two of Kyle Lowry's shoes from an eager Raptors fan named Alan Vale. Now you don't have to feel a tinge of guilt while laughing at that GIF, because Lowry and the Raptors tracked Vale down and gave him some shoes.
It turns out that Vale, a Canadian, was in Chicago to ring in the New Year with his girlfriend. Surely, their entire trip was ruined when they were forced to leave the United Center without a pair of Kyle Lowry's shoes.
But the Raptors made things right on Monday, by inviting Vale to sit courtside at a home game and then surprising him with a pair of shoes and a a meet-and-greet with Kyle Lowry. Vale seemed pretty psyched about the whole thing:
"Blown away," was how Vale described his response to Lowry's gesture. "We're in the middle of an interview and then all of a sudden, there's the starting point guard for the Toronto Raptors.
"I was not expecting that. Absolutely not. I was pretty blown away just to be sitting courtside and watching the shootaround. This is definitely one of the highlights of my being a Raptors fan."
Uh, shouldn't this be the highlight of your life as a Raptors fan, Alan? I mean, damn, it's not like you have a lot of moments to choose from.
