There is still plenty of room on the Senators bandwagon (which you should not board, because it will undoubtedly career off the road and burst into flames with impeccable comedic timing).
But! If you don't know what's good for you and were tuned in for last night's 2-1 overtime win in Carolina, you know that shit is getting exciting. Out-of-nowhere rookie sensation Andrew "Hamburglar" Hammond was exquisite again, making 35 saves and bettering his career record to 11-0-1. (It's entirely possible he lost that one shootout to Minnesota just to see what an NHL loss felt like. He didn't like it, and so won't do it again.)
Ottawa's winner came with 14 seconds left in overtime. Mark Stone got the goal, but Kyle Turris did all the work, dangling the pads off poor Ryan Murphy. The Sens are now four points back of Boston for the second wild card, with a game in hand. But let's watch that Turris move again:
