CF Montreal wish they could say the same.
Unbeaten in seven straight matches, Los Angeles will look to extend its run when it visits a woeful Montreal side on Saturday night.
Los Angeles (6-4-4, 22 points) enters the match on a 3-0-4 streak and sits fifth in the Western Conference, just three points out of second place. Most recently, the Southern California side is coming off a 2-2 draw on Sunday against the crosstown rival Los Angeles Galaxy.
LAFC took a 2-1 lead in the 50th minute before the Galaxy tied it in the 87th minute.
"The result is fair," LAFC coach Steve Cherundolo said. "In a couple of key moments, we weren't good enough to win. We didn't have our best day. But we didn't have a poor day."
Forward Denis Bouanga has helped fuel LAFC's run of success. After starting the season with no goals in his first six MLS matches, Bouanga -- who leads the team with seven goals this season -- has scored in three straight games and has been held without a goal just once in his past seven matches.
Los Angeles will look to improve its road results, with the club 1-3-3 as the visitor this season.
Meanwhile, CF Montreal (1-9-4, 7 points) will vie for their first home win. Montreal, in last place in the Eastern Conference, is 0-3-2 as the host.
In MLS action, the Canadian side is coming off its worst loss of the season, 6-1 to rival Toronto FC last weekend. That defeat came after Montreal recorded points in consecutive matches for the first time this season, with the team's first win -- 1-0 against New York City FC -- on May 10 and a 1-1 draw against the Columbus Crew on May 14.
"We've just got to pick ourselves back up," Montreal midfielder Victor Loturi said. "We believe in the group still. Everybody in the locker room, we still believe."
