Lamar Is Going Dancing, Despite Having "Awful Seniors"

Congratulations to the Lamar Cardinals, who in beating McNeese State 70-49 won the Southland Conference tournament and punched their ticket to the dance.

Lamar head coach Pat Knight ripped his team just a few short weeks ago, saying they were "infested" and that his current seniors were "stealing money." Or, perhaps, Knight's rant actually inspired his team to perform. It worked for his father, after all.

Knight insisted next year "things would be different," but qualifying for the NCAA tournament is one thing Lamar fans will hope stays the same. [ESPN2]
