LaVar Arrington Speaks At Penn State Candlelight Vigil
"We are Penn State. That'll never change. ... Understand this is really a call to duty." That, courtesy of Andy Staples. Arrington was one of several to speak at the candlelight vigil organized by Penn State students in the wake of the havoc Sandusky, et al. have wrecked.
"Old Main" played host to an estimated 10,000 students (that's double the estimated amount involved in the riots earlier in the week) who listened to the various speakers and observed a moment of silence for the victims. "It was largely solemn until it ended with an ear-shattering series of 'We are ... Penn State!'-helping a group of people who felt like they had lost a hero-Paterno-to have something to rally around."
