Looks Like Isiah's Season Is Starting With A Loss
The jury in the Anucha Browne Sanders vs. Isiah Thomas and the Knicks' case hasn't delivered an official verdict yet, but it looks bad for the Knicks: Very bad.
The judge in the case says the jury has decided on eight of the nine charges, but is still deadlocked on whether or not Isiah should have to pay punitive damages. There wouldn't be much reason to be deadlocked on whether punitive damages should be paid if they hadn't found for Sanders elsewhere, so you can see where this is going.
The jury evidently believes New York Knicks coach Isiah Thomas sexually harassed a former team executive and that Madison Square Garden fired the woman after she complained. There was no official verdict in Manhattan Federal Court, but the wording of a note the panel sent the judge this afternoon indicated the jury has decided most of they key points in the suit filed by Anucha Browne Sanders.
All together now: Isiah just signed all 12 members of the jury to 10-day contracts.
