Louisville WR Caullin Lacy suffers broken collarbone
Louisville’s Caullin Lacy (5) runs a drill during Spring Practice on Thursday.
April 4, 2024 Louisville Cardinals wide receiver Caullin Lacy broke his collarbone and will miss six to eight weeks, the school announced Saturday.
Lacy, who suffered the injury during the Cardinals' final scrimmage of fall camp, arrived at Louisville through the transfer portal in December after spending four years at South Alabama. He led the Jaguars with 91 catches for 1,316 yards and seven touchdowns last season and finished with 207 receptions for 2,517 yards and 13 touchdowns during his time at South Alabama.
Lacy, 5-foot-10, 190 pounds, was expected to fill the gap left by Jamari Thrash, who was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round in April after leading the Cardinals with 63 catches for 858 yards last season.
Louisville is coming off a 10-win campaign and begins this season at home against Austin Peay on Aug. 31.
