Wagner attempted to corral an alley-oop pass from Anthony Black and landed awkwardly after being fouled by Knicks center Ariel Hukporti with 4:43 left in the quarter.
Wagner clutched his left knee as he writhed on the ground and tried to get up before being helped off the court.
He finished with seven points, three rebounds and one assist in 7:17 of playing time. The 24-year-old German entered Sunday as the Magic's scoring leader with 23.4 points per game.
