Man Who Discovered Hockey No-Shows NHL Awards
Anthony Holmes, the man who discovered that playoff hockey is fun, and then a month later discovered that the Blues will never win anything, was supposed to appear at Wednesday’s NHL Awards in Las Vegas. He never showed up.
Today, Holmes said that he didn’t attend because he missed his original flight and a second departure.
Holmes hadn’t been heard from since he posted a photo of his airplane ticket Wednesday morning:
During the show, the situation seemed like a drawn-out stunt when the league acknowledged Holmes’s absence with a hashtag:
It turned out to not be a gag.
