Maple Leafs complete furious comeback to stun Penguins

Sokolowski-Imagn Images Bobby McMann scored the go-ahead goal in the third period Monday as the Toronto Maple Leafs wiped out a three-goal deficit to defeat the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins 4-3.
Pittsburgh led 3-0 after two periods before Toronto scored three goals in a span of 3:24 early in the third. McMann scored Toronto's fourth straight goal at 13:43.
William Nylander had two goals and an assist and Auston Matthews added a goal and an assist for the Maple Leafs, who have won two in a row. Morgan Rielly contributed two assists.
Anthony Stolarz made 34 saves and kept the Maple Leafs in the game when they trailed.
Rookie Ben Kindel scored two goals and Erik Karlsson scored once for the Penguins, who have lost two straight. Tristan Jarry stopped 16 shots in his 300th career game.
The first breakthrough came after the Maple Leafs turned the puck over in the Penguins' defensive zone. That resulted in a breakout with Sidney Crosby passing to Karlsson, whose shot from the right circle found the top right corner at 13:08 of the first.
Pittsburgh took a 2-0 lead on a puck that was deflected high in the air after Ryan Shea's shot from the left circle before trickling in with players jamming the crease area at 17:56 of the first. Kindel was awarded the goal.
Pittsburgh's Noel Acciari suffered an upper-body injury early in the first period and did not return.
Kindel scored on a power play at 11:50 of the second with a wrist shot that went off the post and in on a pass from Evgeni Malkin. Philippe Myers was off for hooking.
Pittsburgh had a 17-3 advantage in shots on goal in the second period.
Toronto's rally started when Matthews scored with a low shot from the left circle at 3:31 of the third from Jake McCabe's pass.
Nylander, who missed the previous two games with an injury, scored when he flipped a backhand off Jarry's shoulder at 4:47. He proceeded to tie the score with a slap shot at 6:55.
McMann scored from the slot on a rebound created by Nicholas Robertson.
