Marco Asensio Will Miss Champions League Match After Hurting Himself Shaving His Legs
Photo credit: Denis Doyle/ [object Object] In a recent interview, Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio recalled that manager Zinedine Zidane once told him that the wonderkid was in possession of the best left foot since Lionel Messi’s. Sadly, we won’t get to see that special foot in action today, not after Asensio injured himself while trying to prettify the legs attached to his precious feet.
Here’s Spanish paper ABC explaining Asensio’s manscaping mishap:
Spanish midfielder Marco Asensio has been left out of the squad that Zinédine Zidane has called up for the premiere of Real Madrid in the Champions League. The absence of the Balearic Islander was noted by the French coach at the press conference, when he explained in a picturesque way his absence from the most recent training session: “He has a pimple on his leg that will not allow him to pull up his sock” the Blancos’ coach revealed between laughs.
What Zidane meant is that Asensio has had a problem with a pore when depilating his legs. A hair has become infected and that has caused him a wound that has not allowed him to pull up his sock. For that reason, and considering the weakness of the opponent, he prefers to rest Asensio so that he can concentrate on next Sunday’s important match at Anoeta.
Whether Asensio accidentally shaved over a pimple or, as sounds more likely, he’s suffering from a painful ingrown hair, the Spanish starlet would do well to treat his left stump better than Messi has his:
