Marcus Peters Melts Down, Throws Official's Flag Into Stands
Kansas City cornerback Marcus Peters had a meltdown late in a one-possession game after a penalty was called against the Chiefs on a failed New York Jets two-point conversion.
Josh McCown ran extremely far back as he was pursued by the Kansas City defensive line while going for two, eventually just chucking the ball away. But officials threw a flag for defensive holding, which was the third key penalty of the drive against the Chiefs. Marcus Peters did not like the call. To demonstrate his displeasure, he dramatically tossed the flag into the stands.
On the retry, the Jets converted to take a seven-point lead, while Peters got an unsportsmanlike conduct flag for his actions. He then walked into the locker room, returning to the sideline without any socks. Peters also made one Jets fan very happy.
