In corresponding moves, right-hander Logan Gilbert (right elbow) was placed on the 15-day injured list and right-hander Casey Lawrence was designated for assignment.
Last season, the 23-year-old Taylor recorded a 3.72 ERA and 25 strikeouts in 21 relief appearances. However, he got off to a rough start to the 2025 campaign. In his lone game for the Mariners, he gave up three hits and three runs and produced zero outs.
Saucedo is a 31-year-old veteran. He has appeared in 141 MLB games with a 4.22 career ERA across five seasons -- two with Toronto and the last three with the Mariners.
In 2024, he had a 3.49 ERA and 38 strikeouts across 38 2/3 in 53 games. He surrendered four runs, seven hits and three walks in 2 2/3 innings of work earlier this season.
