Mariners SS J.P. Crawford (wrist) hits IL for third time this season

Mandatory Credit: Jim Cowsert-Imagn Images The Seattle Mariners placed shortstop J.P. Crawford on the 10-day injured list on Friday and recalled infielder Leo Rivas from Triple-A Tacoma.
Crawford is dealing with left wrist inflammation. The move is retroactive to Thursday.
This marks Crawford's third IL stint of the season. He began the season on the IL with a right shoulder injury and hit the list in June due to a right hand injury.
Crawford, 31, is batting just .212 with 10 homers and 30 RBIs in 87 games this season.
He is in his eighth season with the Mariners. He has batted .247 with 74 homers and 356 RBIs in 945 games with the team.
Rivas, 28, is batting just .131 (13-for-99) with seven RBIs in 38 games with Seattle this season.
The switch-hitter has a .198 career average with two homers and 24 RBIs in 129 major league games over three seasons, all with the Mariners.
