Markelle Fultz Shooting Form Update: Shot Longer
credits: Winslow Townson | source: Associated Press The Sixers are almost certainly going to the playoffs, and the future looks bright for a team that was 10-72 just two seasons ago. They’ve also done this without the No. 1 overall pick whose shot is fundamentally borked.
A month and a half ago, Markelle Fultz’s shot looked bad from the line. A few weeks ago, it looked better outside of the paint. Via NBC Sports Philadelphia’s Jessica Camerato, there’s footage of Fultz shooting three-pointers:
Last week, Fultz shot a three, and it looked okay. This one is even better, as it doesn’t totally look like he’s trying out for the shot put. His release is low and slow, but there doesn’t appear to be a hitch it. Markelle Fultz might be an actual basketball player again. He seems to be fully past the days of strictly shooting in the paint, and he didn’t even need Herb Magee’s help!
