Mercifully, the Mayweather-McGregor Press Extravaganza From Hell is reaching its conclusion this evening, after a week of toxic shit talking and a week of general stupid bullshit. Yesterday’s lowlight was McGregor bragging about how having a big dick made him half-black before humping the air as a tribute to his “beautiful black female fans.” Today, Mayweather called his opponent “You punk, you faggot, you ho.” The press tour, the most prominent part of the buildup to the mega-fight, has felt alternately stale and moronic, so is it really surprising that it took this long for someone to reach for the lowest hanging homophobic slur?
