Mandatory Credit: Maria Lysaker-USA TODAY Sports Mexico captain Edson Alvarez was helped off the field in the first half of Saturday's Copa America match against Jamaica on Saturday due to an apparent left hamstring injury.
The West Ham midfielder, who has been linked to a move to Manchester United, was sprinting downfield when he grabbed the back of his leg and immediately fell to the turf. He hobbled off the field with trainers and was replaced by Luis Romo in the 30th minute.
Alvarez has played in 80 matches for Mexico since his debut in 2017.
