Michigan State Wins Big Ten, Ends Iowa's Unbeaten Season With Last-Minute Touchdown
Michigan State went 82 yards on a whopping 22 plays before L.J. Scott pushed his way into the end zone for the Spartans’ first touchdown of the night, one that earned them a 16-13 win that ended Iowa’s unbeaten season.
The effort required by Scott to score was so immense that Gus Johnson didn’t even believe he’d made it; MSU earned a first-and-goal at the three after a fourth-down option play moved the chains by a narrow margin, but Scott’s first two attempts to reach the end zone were stopped by the Hawkeyes.
