Minnesota point guard Chansey Willis Jr. will miss the remainder of the season due to a foot injury, head coach Niko Medved announced on Tuesday.

Willis started each of the Golden Gophers' first seven games of the season before exiting their 72-68 loss to Stanford on Thursday after only four minutes of action.

Northern Colorado transfer Langston Reynolds started Minnesota's 86-75 setback to Santa Clara on Friday. Isaac Asuma and Kai Shinholster also are expected to see additional playing time in the absence of Willis.

Willis is averaging 6.3 points, 3.3 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 2.4 steals in 26.7 minutes per game this season.

He contributed 16.8 points and 5.8 assists per game last season at Western Michigan.
