Missouri's Dorial Green-Beckham Kicked Off Team
Tigers star WR Dorial Green-Beckham was dismissed from Missouri's football program today, after the release of a police report concerning an allegedly burglary and assault incident from this past weekend.
In a statement, AD Mike Alden said:
"We have a high standard of conduct for our student-athletes. Though we provide the resources and mentoring to all of our student-athletes, we are also responsible to the community at large and to the ideals and values of the University of Missouri. We have determined that this was a necessary step for our football team, athletic department, the University and our community."
In his second season at Mizzou, Green-Beckham caught 59 passes for 883 yards and 12 touchdowns. Below, our story from yesterday with more details on the incident—and why the victim isn't pressing charges.
