It’s been a disastrous season for the Colorado Rockies, who sit with the worst record in baseball at 12-53. The Rockies welcome the San Francisco Giants after getting swept at home by the Mets this past weekend.
Carson Palmquist racked up two strikeouts in his first starts for Colorado but has compiled 12 Ks in his past two outings against the Cubs and Mets.
The Giants haven’t been successful against left-handed starting pitchers on the road this season. San Francisco has struck out at least six times in eight of 10 away games when facing southpaw starters.
