NBA Best Bets Today: Bulls, Spurs, and Thunder Picks for Sunday Slate
All three of the NBA’s undefeated teams are in action today, but the Bulls, Spurs, and Thunder are not the only interesting teams playing on Sunday.
With eight games scheduled to take place, bettors will have plenty of options to choose from, but we’ve got your best bets right here.
There are plenty of great betting options to choose from for the day, but the following are our favorites.
New Orleans Pelicans vs. Oklahoma City Thunder
A 12.5-point spread is significant for any team to cover. Oklahoma City, while undefeated (6-0), has not done well against the spread (ATS) this season, going 2-4 to start the season and 1-1 in games with a double-digit spread. The 0-5 Pelicans haven’t done any better ATS, going 1-3-1.
The Thunder has had some close calls, such as beating Houston by just a point in the season opener, but there is no reason to think the Pelicans will put up much of a fight in this game. They are averaging 108 points per game but give up 123, while OKC is scoring just under 120 points per game while allowing 110.3.
Our Pick: Thunder -12.5 at -105 (DraftKings)
OKC has some injury issues, but the Thunder have still been playing well enough to win, and today will be no different. Against a winless Pelicans team at home, I’d expect them to cover.

Chicago Bulls vs. New York Knicks
These two teams just played on Halloween in Chicago, in a game the Bulls won 135-125. Despite beating the Knicks a couple of days ago and being undefeated while the Knicks are 2-3 and have lost three in a row, Chicago is the underdog in this game (+7.5 at -106; FanDuel).
Since the loss on Halloween, the Knicks have returned home and were off on Saturday, but the Bulls have also been off, so there is no rest advantage. New York has been favored four times, winning once, while Chicago has been the underdog four times and won each time.
Our Pick: Bulls +7.5 at -106 (FanDuel)
I know the Knicks were a highly regarded team coming into the season, but the Bulls are playing better basketball. So, I don't understand how this line was set the way it is. My only guess is that the line was set according to what each team was expected to be rather than who they are.

San Antonio Spurs vs. Phoenix Suns
The Spurs made it five in a row to start the season with a 107-101 victory against the Miami Heat in San Antonio, their last time out (Oct. 30). Victor Wembanyama turned in another dominant performance with 27 points, 18 rebounds, and five blocks.
It has been a tougher start for the Suns, who ended a four-game losing streak on Halloween with a 120-116 win over Sacramento at home.
Our Pick: San Antonio -6.5 (Fanatics)
The Spurs will be missing a few people (De’Aaron Fox, Kelly Olynyk, Luke Kornet, and Jeremy Sochan); Phoenix has its own injury issues with Dillon Brooks and Jalen Green out. But even with the injuries, the Spurs are riding high as Victor Wembenyama continues to flex his muscles.
Phoenix isn’t in the same weight class as the Spurs.
