NBA Roundup: As Cuban Goes Slowly Insane, Mavs Continue To Win
Notes on Tuesday's games in the National Basketball Association ...
• Dallas Gettin' It Done. As the Mavericks move forward amidst an historic run, owner Mark Cuban seems obsessed with one thing. An NBA title for the city of Dallas? No: garments. On Monday it was t-shirts, and Tuesday's rant over at Blog Maverick had to do with suits. Oh well, at least he's staying out of trouble. That's more than can be said for the Rockets, who despite 45 points from Tracy McGrady still lost to the Mavericks 109-96. You're probably as sick of Dirk Nowitzki photos as we are at this point, but the Mavs forward did have 30 points, 10 rebounds and six assists to lead Dallas to its 18th win in its past 19 games. Too bad their owner looks like crap. (Sorry!)
• It's OK, We're With Jannero. The night is young, we're in Oklahoma City and Jannero Pargo is on our team. Can we pause a moment to savor this special treasured moment? Pargo scored a season-high 25 points as the New Orleans Hornets stopped the Magic 84-78 in OT.
• Praise The Lord And Pass The Nick Collision. Zone defense. Chris Wilcox. Must be a SuperSonics game! Ray Allen led Seattle with 22 points and had 11 assists as Seattle beat Cleveland 101-96.
