Notes from Wednesday's games in the National Basketball Association:

Dallas is 0-4 for the first time in the franchise's 27-year history after a 103-85 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday. Is this any way for a defending Western Conference champion to act? Cuttino Mobley had 28 points for the Clippers.

• 2. I Never Promised You A ... Well, You Know. It was during the off season that Portland's Zach Randolph had an epiphany. "Hey!" he suddenly exclaimed. "Maybe I should start working out!" Lo and behold, it worked; he had 36 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Trail Blazers over the Lakers 101-90. It was Portland's fifth straight win over the Lakers at the Rose Garden.

• 3. Knicks Deliver Knee To The Groin. Is it our imagination, or does every game the Knicks play go down to the final shot? Jamal Crawford's long three-pointer capped a big big fourth quarter comeback as New York beat Denver 109-107.

• 4. Sactown's Martin Sings This Song, Do-Dah, Do-Dah. Meanwhile, Kevin Martin's knee is just fine; he scored 30 points as the Kings took a 99-86 win over the Pistons.

• 5. It Goes To 11. Spurs center Fabricio Oberto was 11-of-11 from the field for 22 points and Tony Parker had 29 points to lead the Spurs to a 111-106 overtime win over the Suns. San Antonio (4-1) scored 10 of the first 12 points in overtime. Tim Duncan had 26 points and 14 rebounds.
